What is Companion Transportation Coverage?

Companion Transportation Coverage provides protection from the cost of transporting a spouse, family member, or any other companion alongside you when you need emergency medical air transport. If you need a medically equipped helicopter or plane to take you to a hospital due to a serious illness or injury, this coverage allows your loved one to accompany you.

MASA will coordinate the transportation for your companion, giving priority to the medical personnel and equipment needed for your care and safety. This means your loved one can focus on supporting you without worrying about the logistics of getting to the hospital.

MASA will arrange for your transportation via air ambulance under our Repatriation to Hospital Near Home Coverage benefit. With our Companion Transportation Coverage benefit, your spouse can accompany you in the medically equipped airplane.

All you have to do is call MASA. Our team will coordinate all aspects of your transportation – including for your spouse – at no additional cost.
